Senceive Wireless Platforms Supported By Trimble 4D Control Software

Expanded Capabilities Reduce Setup Time for Senceive’s GeoWAN® and FlatMesh® systems

LONDON, UK, Sept. 17, 2019 — Senceive Ltd, the UK based leading global provider of wireless remote condition monitoring solutions, has today announced the improved interface to the Trimble 4D control software. Trimble is one of the world’s leading providers of software and hardware solutions helping connect the physical and digital worlds of geospatial and construction industries.

Following the release of Trimble’s 4D Control version 5.0 upgrade, the widely used software now fully supports Senceive’s wireless monitoring systems, streamlining the configuration process for existing Trimble 4D Control users and delivering real-time data from a multitude of instrumentation to one single platform. The software will now support both of Senceive’s wireless platforms, GeoWAN®, the company’s latest wireless platform that offers long-range monitoring up to 15km, and FlatMesh® wireless mesh system used for dense sensor distributions and intelligent monitoring solutions.

Senceive’s wireless monitoring solutions provide reliable and robust, long life, precise wireless monitoring solutions for a wide range of applications including; construction, rail, tunnels, buildings bridges, mines, quarries and many more, including the ability to integrate with almost any geotechnical/structural sensor. Whilst Senceive offer their own basic secure web-based data visualisation platform called WebMonitor to clients if requested, the highly versatile data from its sensor nodes has always allowed visualisation on a variety of higher-powered third-party software. The recent major upgrade of Trimble’s 4D Control software now allows their users to fully and conveniently monitor multiple sites from this single, customisable platform that not only enables improved visualisation, but can perform rigorous analysis and provide alerts. Alongside the many other types of data that Trimble devices provide, such as from Total Stations, GNNS reference receivers and a multitude of other geotechnical and structural sensors. The breadth of different datasets can now provide project managers, surveyors and engineers, using Trimble 4D Control, with a comprehensive understanding of the ground or asset conditions to enable rapid decision making and enhance predictions to support immediate identification of the early signs of failure or fatigue.

Senceive Appoints Business Development Manager to Continue Driving North American Expansion of Wireless Condition Monitoring Business

 

31 July 2019 – Senceive Ltd, the UK based provider of wireless remote condition monitoring solutions, has today announced that it has hired Vasco Nunes as its Business Development Manager for North America as part of its strategic global expansion. He will support the company’s already well-established presence in Rail, Construction and Mining; providing a dedicated local focus on supporting existing and new clients in the USA and Canada.

With over 25 years of industry experience in the Geo-technical industry, specialising in both Civil Engineering and Mining sectors, Vasco’s appointment will see him lead an effective sales strategy across both Canada and the United States. His aim is to drive sustainable growth for Senceive through supporting all partners and clients more easily, further developing long-term relationships to build strong distribution channel partners.

Senceive’s reliable, precise, wire and power free systems are already installed across North America through its existing long-standing relationships. Senceive recognised as SME of the Year at the Rail Partnership Awards 2019

We are delighted to announce that we have been recognised as SME of the Year at the Rail Partnership Awards 2019. The company was picked from a strong nationwide field of the leading suppliers to Network Rail who had demonstrated excellence and innovation within the rail industry

During a ceremony taking place at The Vox, near the NEC, in Birmingham, and presented by Countryfile’s Julia Bradbury, the awards were presented across 14 categories. Senceive was recognised for supporting Network Rail to achieve its excellence and innovation objectives in areas including; safety, sustainability, putting passengers first and community engagement. In addition, Senceive was recognised for its commitment to developing successful partnerships within the rail industry.

Looking back at GEO Business 2019


On day 1, Dominic Kisz, Senceive’s International Business Development Manager for Central Europe, hosted a workshop on the many innovations in wireless RCM (Remote Condition Monitoring) launched in the past 12 months alone. Throughout his talk, Dominic highlighted Senceive’s leading position in the industry, as well as the innovative work that it continues to produce. Dominic also went into detail about the range of Senceive products on offer, including the wireless FlatMesh and GeoWAN platforms, as well as the unrivalled Triaxial Tilt Sensor Node, the Nano and Nano+ Triaxial Tilt Sensor Nodes, the Optical Displacement Sensor (ODS) and the new smart In-Place Inclinometer.

Day 2 saw Senceive sponsor the Instrumentation and Monitoring Seminar, where Peter Jones, Senceive’s International Business Development Manager for the APAC region, presented a very well received seminar talk on Network Intelligence and Smart Sensors (click here for more information) The talk drew over 60 audience members and it was certainly the most popular of the I&M presentations on the day.


The stand was extremely busy from friends and new potential partners from across the globe which is particular interest with Senceive operating in over 40 countries. We were also mentioned in a number of talks over the two days, but a special thanks goes to  Matthias Gropp, Director for Monitoring at Murphy Surveys, one of our key global Monitoring Company Partners, who discussed asset monitoring and one of the largest structural monitoring projects in Europe, possibly globally, where we are working together, and where they have deployed over 3000 of our FlatMesh wireless sensors. These are measuring strain, using a bespoke 12-channel Vibrating Wire unit, as well as deformation, temperature and crack movement over a wide distance on a large complex concrete structure. The wireless sensors could well be in place for up to 6-8 years and will surely be a showcase for structural monitoring and lessons learned for the Industry.

Recap: Instrumentation and Monitoring Conference 2019

On March 26th Senceive attended Ground Engineering’s Instrumentation and Monitoring Conference (I&M) at Cavendish Conference Centre, London. The event looks to encompass the leading minds from within the monitoring industry.

Since its last appearance at the event two years ago, Senceive has gone from strength to strength. In the past few months alone Senceive has released its Optical Displacement Sensor (ODS) product and GeoWAN wireless platform. There has also been a recent £750,000 investment from Birmingham Finance and full Network Rail acceptance for the FlatMesh product range. Now, returning as Gold Sponsors, Senceive played a prominent role at this year’s event.

At the conference, with a stand situated in a prime location across from newly announced partners, Sigicom, the company launched its IPI Wireless Interface Solution in collaboration with Soil Instruments.

In addition, Senceive also took part in two talks at the event. To begin with, the company’s Business Development Director, Aidan Laimbeer, discussed monitoring challenges and instrumentation with Tideway East Deputy I&M Manager, Stephen Diver. This was soon followed by a Sensor & Satellite Asset Alert and Management System (SSAAMS) panel, featuring Senceive Lead Engineer, Peter Graham.

Throughout the conference’s talks, Senceive also received special mentions from various speakers. Head of Specialist Monitoring Senior Technology and Innovation Manager at Amey, Andy Plumb, discussed a variety of Senceive projects; Jonathan Gammon, Advisor/Non-Executive Director for Geotechnical Observations Ltd, spoke at length about Senceive’s work on the Bexleyheath line at Barnehurst, and how it helped to avert a potential major issue; and Ignacio Menoyo, I&M Contracts Engineer at Ferrovial Laing O’Rourke (FLO), mentioned Senceive’s role in the Northern Line Extension;

After a busy day yesterday, tonight sees Senceive compete for two awards at the Construction News Specialists Awards. The company is nominated for ‘Equipment Specialist of the Year’ and ‘Innovation of the Year (non-contractor)’.
