North American Business Development Manager


Senceive is a world class highly innovative technology company leading the way in structural and geotechnical wireless monitoring solutions. We help our clients, including surveyors, monitoring companies and contractors, to protect and manage their geotechnical and structural assets in sectors including Rail, Construction, Transportation, Mining and Utilities.

To deliver on our ambitious plans for international growth, we are seeking a business development manager to expand our activity in North America. The role combines commercial and technical activity and would suit somebody based in the region with experience in monitoring, project management, surveying, or engineering. Experience of technical sales would be beneficial.

Senceive is based in London, with over 50 staff and projects across the globe and a growing number of people dedicated to international growth. The team includes specialists across a range of engineering disciplines including geotechnics, surveying, electronics, software and mechatronics – all with practical and client-facing skillsets who strive to deliver an innovative world class service. Our business development managers combine a strong technical background with commercial awareness and a drive to sell.

We’re looking for a bright self-starter who is focused and driven to support our growing business in North America. The role offers considerable flexibility to the right candidate who will be expected to manage existing and create new client relationships, unearth project opportunities, visit sites, present ideas to individuals or groups and write proposals.  Perhaps most importantly, it requires someone who can easily build rapport with people, listens and understand their asset monitoring needs.

Our approach has always been highly consultative. The role will involve developing and proposing suitable solutions to ensure the client’s asset monitoring needs and expectations are met and surpassed. This will include ensuring the delivery and customer support team understand the requirements, and where necessary, provide active support and ongoing dialogue throughout the project.

All this will ensure our client receives “World Class Service” and recommends Senceive for other opportunities.

NOTE* This role will involve working from home, with travel throughout North America and occasionally to the UK.
