Senceive wireless remote condition monitoring technology is used in 35 countries in rail, construction and mining. Our precise, reliable and robust products are built to empower clients responsible for high value and at-risk assets. Senceive users installed more than 30,000 sensors last year – helping them manage ground and structural movement, landslide risk, geotechnical behaviour, rail track movement and much more. Systems are installed in minutes and last more than a decade with minimal maintenance – helping users to mitigate engineering risk without visiting site.

We’ve been designing, building and supporting the best wireless condition monitoring technology since 2005. As part of the Eddyfi NDT group of companies we are growing fast and have highly ambitious plans for the coming years.

The Role

We are seeking the right individual to manage multi-disciplined, multi-region teams and deliver IoT products from concept to customer release.

Reporting, Location & Travel

This role reports to the VP of Engineering & Operations as part of the Engineering team, and is based in Senceive’s Headquarters in Milton Keynes. Occasional travel may be required when visiting customers or suppliers.

Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, although are not limited to the following:

  • Project manage the software and hardware development of Senceive’s products from concept through development, design validation and test, mass production to customer release
  • Deliver projects on time and to budget
  • Carry out project sizing and planning
  • Run cross-team meetings and report on the status, risk and issues as identified by the Technical Leads
  • Report to the Senior team and Product Management on the performance and schedule for all projects being managed
  • Champion the Project Management tool used within Senceive and improve current working practices
  • Introduce and manage the new Project gating process
  • Liaise with Technical Development, Quality and Product Management teams and NPI Engineers
  • Liaise with Supply Chain, internal Production team and third party suppliers to ensure timely delivery of prototypes and sub-assemblies

  • A flexible approach with the ability to multi-task and work to varying priorities and deadlines to meet the needs of the business
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities
  • Ability to identify, mitigate and communicate project risks
  • Ability to understand technical documents

Relevant Knowledge & Experience

 

Candidates should assess their suitability against the following essential and/or desirable relevant knowledge and experience:

Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience over several years of project management, preferably working with IoT products
  • Strong knowledge of project management within a hardware and software engineering environment
  • Proven ability in leading cross-functional teams
  • Proven experience in driving significant improvements with a team and business
  • Strong working knowledge of modern project management platforms (Wrike, MS Project, Asana etc.)
  • Experience with both Agile and Waterfall methodologies

Desirable:

  • Engineering Degree or Equivalent experience
  • Qualifications in Six Sigma, Prince2, APM and PMI would be an advantage
