As part of the Midlands main line upgrade, reconstruction of the structures that were along the route was required to provide sufficient clearance for 25,000V Overhead Line Equipment (OLE). Amongst these structures was the Ford End Road bridge, a 19 span brick arched bridge. The bridge had its third span of the bridge removed and replaced with a modern bridge deck, made of pre-cast concrete units. Bridgeway Consulting were called in to monitor the arches and selected Senceive’s FlatMesh wireless solution to remotely monitor the arches.
