In a move that supports automated environmental monitoring in remote locations, a new integration enables wireless data transfer from Vaisala weather monitoring instruments using Senceive’s recently launched Digital Interface Node.
The addition of Vaisala’s WXT530 series into Senceive’s portfolio of compatible sensors underscores the IoT developer’s commitment to offer smart monitoring solutions for a wide range of engineering and environmental applications.
The Senceive Digital Interface Node is a highly versatile digital data logger which enables users to move from manual collection to automated data collection. As part of a smart wireless solution the device supports continuous, unattended monitoring and near real-time automated alerts. It is compatible with a growing range of geotechnical, structural - and now environmental - instruments.
With climate-related pressures becoming increasingly significant in sectors such as transportation, construction and mining, there is much interest in combining the collection of precise, continuous weather data with information such as ground movement and soil water pressure. The Vaisala WXT530 series of weather transmitters delivers information relating to any combination of wind, rain, temperature, and barometric pressure. These combined insights can be invaluable in applications such as prediction of landslides, flood defence breaches or failure of mine tailings dams.
