As social media celebrates 2016 and looks back on iconic trends and memories, it’s a timely reminder that some milestones leave a lasting impact — including in technology. For ALLSAT GmbH, 2016 was the year they first partnered with Senceive.
Since that initial collaboration, wireless monitoring has moved from an emerging technology to a core, trusted solution across ALLSAT's projects. Our Head of Sales EMEA, Markus Rennen, recently spoke with Michael Schulz, General Manager at ALLSAT, to reflect on how wireless monitoring has evolved over the years and become central to their offering.
“When I first encountered Senceive in 2016, wireless monitoring was still relatively unknown,” Michael recalls. “Now, it’s become a very important part of our portfolio. Interest in wireless sensors has grown significantly, especially in 2024, when they really took over. The systems are incredibly easy to install and provide real added value for our customers. We’re totally confident about the future with these products.”
Wireless as a Complement - and in Some Cases a Standalone Solution
Michael explains how Senceive’s wireless monitoring solutions fit alongside conventional surveying techniques, including total stations, rather than replacing them outright:
“This is an addition. If we install wireless sensors, we still take measurements with traditional methods when needed, for example, if an alarm is triggered. But we no longer need to run an automatic system in parallel. This reduces risk and cost while still giving our customers full confidence in their monitoring.”
The flexibility of Senceive solutions means they can be deployed as standalone systems or in combination with traditional monitoring, giving engineers the best of both worlds.
Scaling Up. From Dozens to Thousands of Wireless Sensors
One of the most striking aspects of the partnership is the scale of deployment. Michael highlighted a recent tender submission:
“Just yesterday, we submitted a tender for 1,000 Senceive sensors. You can see the scale this has reached.”
Projects of this size demonstrate how embedded wireless monitoring has become in modern infrastructure monitoring and construction, particularly in rail and linear projects where real-time insight into structural and geotechnical behaviour is critical.
The Takeaway
The conversation between Markus and Michael underscores a clear trend: wireless monitoring is no longer emerging. It’s proven, scalable, and trusted. From early adopters to large-scale deployments, Senceive solutions are now a core part of ALLSAT's offering, delivering reliable, actionable insights for their customers in Germany and beyond.
“We’re very optimistic about the future,” Michael concludes.
With wireless monitoring firmly established in infrastructure portfolios, the partnership between Senceive and ALLSAT continues to demonstrate the power and value of reliable, easy-to-deploy solutions for modern projects.
