Senceive is excited to announce a new Starlink compatibility option for our GeoWAN wireless platform and Ethernet-enabled CameraHub, enabling autonomous monitoring in the most remote locations from rail sites in the Rockies, to open-pit mines in Minnesota – and virtually anywhere else in the world with Starlink coverage.
This satellite communications addition expands the flexibility of Senceive’s remote wireless monitoring technology, making off-grid deployment easier and more reliable than ever.
The Solar Power Pack and Starlink integration is designed for remote sites with no local infrastructure. Solar panels feed the electronics and battery system, which are housed in a rugged industrial cabinet, to provide continuous power to both Senceive equipment and the externally mounted Starlink Mini terminal, which maintains a reliable satellite connection.
Ethernet connectivity from the Starlink Mini is routed into the cabinet, making it available to connected equipment. On standard reporting rates, the battery system provides up to 4 days of backup, ensuring uninterrupted monitoring.
Key features of the Starlink Satellite Communications compatible system:
- GeoWAN variant: houses the LoRa gateway in the industrial cabinet and includes an N-type panel mount connector for an external LoRa antenna
- CameraHub variant: provides a 3-metre Ethernet lead for direct connection to the CameraHub
- Rapid deployment and minimal maintenance for truly off-grid monitoring
- Autonomous power and satellite internet connectivity for remote or challenging sites
- Near real-time data reporting and automated alerts, ensuring continuous insight into asset condition
This enhancement allows customers to deploy GeoWAN Gateways and CameraHubs anywhere in the world with Starlink coverage, independent of terrestrial networks, while benefiting from the precision, reliability, and proven performance of Senceive’s wireless monitoring technology.
